“Welcome to the Streets” will be the first fashion show organized by The Kat Walk, a Illinois State University Student Organizationnm

The an event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 9 at the Brown Ballroom at the Bone Student Center.

Models of on-campus modeling organizations, including The Kat Walk, STRUT, and Fashionablewill all walk in the show.

Jayda peoplesKat Walk’s Modeling President, talked about what participants can expect.

There will be performances by artists, challenges for guests to win prizes, vendors, and a segment featuring designers from Illinois State University as well as the Chicagoland area.“said Peoples.

Overall, the peoples said that the guests must prepare to a day full of fashion, culture, fun, music, laughter and prizes.”

peoples also talked about youhe importance of them fashion show to The Kat Walk as an organization.

“The purpose of this fair is to give ISU students and designers a chance to showcase their work,” Peoples said. “Not only is this a great time to build student confidence, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to teach models to have fun playing. [while] also [being] seriously when they walk for designers.

peoples says that the goal of the show is to give the “fashion experience” and reach as much attendees as possible.

“We want the whole campus to be involved“said Peoples. “Not only are we having a fashion show, but we’re having a fashion week, much like spirit week in high school.”

Every day of fashion week has a theme. worldlythere is monochrome tuesday is prints and patterns, Wednesday is leather, Thursday is “RIPs them Raway and Friday is denim.

The Kat Walk has also given the opportunity for models, hosts, designers, photographers, videographers and stylists to take part in the show virtually.

Tickets will beI be available for purchase ohn February. 1.
