When Regi Schaiks and Kayo van Zoest launched their brand Flaneur in 2019, its identity, like its name, was rooted in celebrating the dynamism of wandering. In their sinuous movements, these figures serve not only as observers, but as recorders of culture – keeping the ethos of human experience alive. In the same vein, the brand explores the range of metropolitan characters of Europe through time for its latest Fall/Winter 2023 collection.

Titled “Somewhere in Europe”, the collection serves as both a tribute to the brand’s Parisian roots and an exploration of multi-faceted style. With the metropolitan in the foreground, there is a bit of everything in the collection that connects to Flaneur’s contemporary design philosophy. Exceptionally wearable yet still visually appealing, the collection shapes its personality through hybrid tailoring, varied silhouettes, modern yet enduring design details, and premium fabrications. Tailoring stands out through oversized double-breasted blazers, woolen overcoats, relaxed pants and hybrid suits.

Beyond that, denim comes into play as a signature fabric via distressed jeans, wide leg jeans, straight cut jeans and oversized shorts. Other pieces in the collection include bodycon printed button-up shirts, graphic hoodies, elongated sleeve jackets and relaxed tees. Highlights of the collection include a multicolored puffer jacket, an oversized black leather windbreaker blazer and a brown hybrid suit. The collection is completed with a selection of shoes, fedoras, caps and leather bags.
