She explained: “That’s exactly why I first applied for my green card. I don’t feel like there’s that glass ceiling in the United States, because they’re much more open.

“They have so many more channels and networks and opportunities for people like me to be seen.

‘There’s a show called The Real, it’s basically like Loose Women but for a full black panel. Now we’ve had Loose Women with a full black panel… but it’s like, “Oh my god, it’s a special day when it’s a black women’s panel,” when it should just be a standard of, “Oh, it’s a women’s panel.”

“They were like, ‘So it has to be black all the time now. Why is it for black people? I don’t want to go to Croydon, they’re just black people.

“I don’t think I responded on Twitter, I don’t like giving it airtime. But in my head I was thinking, ‘Don’t worry guys, next five episodes, you got white couples’ , but I shouldn’t have to justify it, it doesn’t have to be a thing.

“So I think America is much more open. But at the same time, we’re having conversations and I’m talking to some of my black friends who are in entertainment or in music or in sports, who would like to go to America but also then there’s this concern of, well, what is police brutality like out there with black men?

“There are so many things to think about, but I would just like to go out there and at least try to see what’s going on.”

“Yeah, so I’m kind of wondering who I’m actually answering to. But I’m very busy, so I’m still hoping it will happen naturally and organically.

‘I’m still part of the old school mentality, you might bump into your love as you both run to get on the same train car, you look into each other’s eyes and all of a sudden everything goes in slow motion you.

“I would like that to happen. Whether or not, I don’t know. I’m 35 and it hasn’t happened yet. But we can dream, wish and hope.
