The co-creator of popular children’s TV show Sesame Street Lloyd Morrisett died aged 93 on January 24, 2023.

He was co-founder of the Children’s Television Workshop – later renamed Sesame Workshop – which confirmed the news of his passing in a tweet.

Joan Ganz Cooney, his Sesame Street co-founder and close friend released a statement.

“Without Lloyd Morrisett, there would be no Sesame Street. He was the first to come up with the idea of ​​using television to teach preschoolers basic skills, like letters and words. numbers,” Cooney said.

Patrick Billio

Former Crystal Palace and AC Milan player Patrizio Billio has died aged 48.

The midfielder arrived at Selhurst Park in the late 1990s during a long career which saw him play for numerous clubs across Europe.

Billio also played for Scottish clubs Dundee and Aberdeen in the early 2000s.

He retired in 2010 and returned to AC Milan to coach their academy team in Kuwait.

David Croby

Her former musical partner, Graham Nash, shared a tribute on social media.

He wrote: “It is with deep and profound sadness that I learned of the passing of my friend David Crosby.

“I know people tend to focus on the volatility of our relationship at times, but what has always meant to David and me more than anything is the sheer joy of the music we’ve created together, the sound we discovered with each other and the deep friendship we shared over all these long years.”

Wrestling star Jay Briscoe died aged 38 on January 17, 2023.

Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling promotions owner Tony Khan has confirmed the death of Briscoe, real name Jamin Pugh.

Jay is believed to have died in a car crash in Delaware, USA.

Renee Geyer

Australian star Renee Geyer has died aged 69

Soul singer Renee Geyer died at the age of 69 on January 17, 2023.

The Australian musician, who rose to fame in the 1970s, died following hip surgery.

Renee, whose distinguished career spanned more than five decades, was the first woman to be inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame.

His devastated family described the talented star as a “force of nature” in confirming his death.

They said: “It is with tremendous sadness that we announce that Renee Geyer has passed away following hip surgery.

“While in hospital, it was discovered that Renee also had inoperable lung cancer.

“She was in no pain and passed away peacefully among her family and friends. Naturally, we are all completely devastated.”

Lisa Marie Presley

She was the only child of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley.

Paramedics attempted to revive the singer and performed CPR on her after she was found unconscious in Calabasas, California.

She was rushed to hospital before she died.

Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed the news of her daughter’s death in a statement, according to PEOPLE.

She said: “It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”

The Hi Ho Silver Lining star has died in hospital following a battle with meningitis, his management has announced.

Jeff rose to fame in the 1960s with The Yardbirds playing alongside a young Jimmy Page, later of Led Zeppelin, before carving out his own career.

Considered one of the most influential guitarists of his generation, his screaming solos earned him the nickname “the guitarist’s guitarist”.

The latter earned him nominations for the Booker Prize and the Whitbread Literature Finalist List.

Michel Ferte

His death was confirmed by The Anglophile Channel, a Los Angeles-based production company that worked closely with him.

Kelly’s sad passing came just a year after the comedian suffered two strokes.
