Beijing, China–(Newsfile Corp. – Jan. 23, 2023) – The 2023 “Happy Chinese New Year” Online Gala Overseas is sponsored by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the City of Helsinki and Embassies from China to Finland, Estonia and Greece, Belgium and Canada. The event is organized by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Culture and Leisure Division of the City of Helsinki, and produced and organized by the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center, the Chinese Cultural Center in Athens and the Caisa Cultural Center in the city of Helsinki.

Revolving around the theme “Visiting Beijing – in the most Beijing way”, the online gala selected four “mostly Beijing-style” routes, namely, “Beijing’s most beautiful central axis”, “Places of most Beijing-style leisure activities”. , “The most Beijing-style cultural street” and “The best cuisine in Beijing”. Foreign friends from five countries will visit the sights.

Four high-end cultural performances will also be broadcast live, in a variety of art forms such as music, dance and martial arts. Beijing Radio and TV Station Hostess Li Yangwei Invited to Chat with International Guests; The selected performances focus on showcasing both China’s excellent traditional culture and Beijing’s contemporary art and spirit.

The event invites Chinese and foreign friends to the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center for a joyful gathering. They will visit the Global Zodiac Design Competition exhibition, share memories of life in Beijing and the Spring Festival, taste Spring Festival dishes and exchange New Year gifts.

The “Chinese-China-Hellas Happy New Year Concert of Young Musicians” was held at the concert hall of the Athens Conservatory of Music on January 14, with more than 600 spectators in attendance. Fifteen artists from China and Greece performed on the same stage.

In Helsinki, the Finnish capital, a Chinese New Year parade will also be held in the central shopping street on New Year’s Eve (January 21, 2023). Composed of local artists, the team of interpreters will present dragon and lion dances and fireworks. Various Spring Festival activities will take place in several cultural centers

The Beijing Emerging Culture and Tourism Destinations Photo Exhibition, the Inbound Tourism Promotion Project and the Chinese Zodiac Cultural and Creative Products Exhibition also toured Athens and Tallinn, the capitals of Greece and of Estonia respectively.
